Discover the History of Threapwood – Guided Village Walk

Ever wondered why Threapwood appears as such a scattered settlement, with its varied properties nestled among green spaces and crisscrossed by lanes, tracks, and footpaths?

Join the Threapwood History Group on Friday 20th June at 6:30pm for a fascinating guided walk around the village to uncover the story behind its unique layout and development.

The evening will begin at St John's Church, Sarn Road, where members of the History Group will give an introductory talk and set the historical context for the walk. The route will take approximately two hours and will include escorted road walking, uneven cross-country paths, stiles, and a steep slope with steps. Please dress appropriately and be prepared for varying weather conditions.

In the event of severe weather, the walk will be postponed, but the introductory session will still go ahead in the Church, with a new date for the walk to be announced.

Come along and explore the roots of Threapwood's past – all are welcome!
